I usually choose my fuel level for sorties in liters in IL-2 GB not percentage. In CloD it is reflected in kg. I need to make a rule of thumb conversion. Does anyone know what the fuel capacity spec is for the Marlet III? Can't find it online.
Without knowing the specs I thought I could back door something. Below is my attempt but I need someone to double check it if willing.
100% fuel in the Marlet = 305kg
The best estimate of density of 80 octane fuel I can come up with is ~690 kg per square meter. Can't find specifics on 87.
This works out to be ~442 liters (~117 gallons). If this is correct, then every 100 kg of fuel will be about 145 liters (~38 gallons).
Thoughts?

There's two tanks in the Martlet, Main and Aux... The Martlet III is an F4F-3A, so it's capacity seems to be 147 gallons
Maybe I'll let Gos chime in, he usually has some sort of real life experience in this. I know after our flight (I had 100%) out to the fleet and back, a bit a dogfighting, I had 40 gallons left (maybe in the Main since I never switch tanks) when I landed.

Do the specs you have divide the capacity of the 2 tanks?

Okay. For Jet-A1 it is 0.79 Kg per Ltr So 0.8 is close enough.
Avgas is lighter. 0.7185 Kg per Ltr Not so easy. 0.7 is close. Divide by 7 and multiply by 10 200 Kg is close to 210 Kg so 210/7 = 30 30 * 10 = 300 Ltrs Actual answer is 278 Ltrs.
However, it’s hot in Tobruk so you won’t get as much in as the fuel will expand (doubt they have modelled that!!’)

I dont have the breakdown, but three stats taken from the just flight f4f-3 and 3a for fsx says fuel capacity at 147 gallons, no breakdown

Selector says 130 in the main and 30 in the Aux... when I switch to aux it cuts out... not sure what is modeled

I noticed the reserves do not work as well but did not see the 130 notation.
